Dr. Andrew D. Badley is a consultant in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, directing the HIV Laboratory and the Medical-Industry Relations Committee. He holds the HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Professorship in Infectious Diseases and chairs the Department of Molecular Medicine, focusing on innovative therapies like Oncolytic virus therapy, CAR-T cells and gene replacement strategies.

Dr. Badley’s research on virus-host interactions aims to cure HIV and develop immune-based therapies for virology and oncology. His work has led to multiple patents, clinical trials and new companies. He frequently speaks at conferences and has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters.

He has received several prestigious awards and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation. Named 2020 Person of the Year by Twin Cities Business magazine, he serves on NIH committees and advises biopharma on immunology, virology and clinical trial strategy. Dr. Badley is also an advisor for Symbiosis Capital Management.
