Safuan Zairi is the Chief Ecosystem Officer for Technology Innovation Park Malaysia/MRANTI. He and his team of ecosystem builders devote their passion and commitment towards accelerating the commercialisation of local technology and innovation.

With more than 24 years of experience in the innovation and technology space, Safuan and his team at TIPM catalyses and deliver critical programmes and initiatives such as the National Innovation & Technology Sandbox (NTIS), HealthTech Hub, NTIS Artificial Intelligence Sandbox, Global Accelerator Programme (GAP), Drone Development Centre (Area57), Global Innovation Exchange (GIX), Malaysia Technology Commercialisation Platform (MATCH) and the MTTF Programme, a national-level capacity-building initiative for technology transfer and commercialisation.

Recognised as a Drone Technology (DroneTech) evangelist, he has been instrumental in the formulation and execution of Malaysia’s DroneTech Action Plan 2030 (MDTAP30). Safuan was named by GovInsider in 2023 as the “Innovator of the Year” of the Malaysia Digital Transformation Awards. He has led key management roles in both local as well as global organisations and holds an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and MBA (Master of Business Administration).
